About Eishin
Nose After a musical childhood as a clarinetist and a pianist in Japan, Eishin Nose moved to the United States, first in California. There he started playing Jazz piano in a Big Band and with singer group called "Fun Fair" with which he received "Down Beat Awards." Then he attended New School University in New York City. During those years he spent more time hanging around fabled clubs such as Cleopatra's Needle, Kavehaz and Cafe Morzalt than he did at the school, where playing in the practice rooms was difficult. Immediately after his study at the new school, he was recognized as one of the New York's leading jazz pianist and composer. He played extensively with many New York's top musicians. He recorded several CDs with his Trio, with Yosuke Inoue (b) and Jeff Williams (dr.), on standard tunes and his original. |
